Good. Like I said, I figured you would have already checked it. I know for me, and many of my friends, sometimes a second set of eyes looking things over will catch something. My lady has zero experience with working on vehicles and such, yet she'll sometimes see something that I had not when working on things.

Hope you get it figured out without too much aggravation and trouble. Fingers crossed for you!

Hmm? Can you post a picture showing the whole battery pack including all the battery cabling and main + and - connections? Pictures are best

I am with you Scotty, Hmm. Had the 500 DCX for couple years than switched when the XCT came out. My fuse is on the pack negative before going through the OBC.

Apparently there is no wrong place to put the fuse...Most controller manufactures left it on the drawing board but I've heard it suggested to place it in the middle of the battery pack But I prefer a less corrosive environment. I'll put it on the solenoid or the controller B- most often.

I think the most important criteria for fuse location is where it is accessible for inspection and replacement.

Got off earlier and decided my theory of the negative cable (2nd pic) is the culprit. CAREFULLY re- attached all positive cables, starting with fuse first and then moved to negatives. Got entire battery pack hooked up with no sparks. Going to wait for the 3amp diode before I fire everything up.....wish me luck guys. Let me know if you see anything off with the pack orientation!

I don't see any problem with what is connected on the pack.
Did you send me that email re the missing diode? I didn't see one today and the mail is leaving soon.

X2

A fuse is meant to be the weakest link in the chain. Why would anyone place it where it wasn’t visible and maintainable.
