Default 1998 EZGO shuttle

So I have my shuttle furniture removed and ready to get this guy going again after replacing everything.
Installing a new SR48500 , D&D 4:1 motor and all wiring.
Besides that stuff, should I just spray the frame after wire brushing it? Is it crazy to extend it one foot so the driver has more room?

If it were me, I would spray the frame, just for rust prevention. As to extending the frame...Might be crazy , but who really determines what is crazy!? I had thought about doing the same on my cart, very briefly. Started thinking about what all else would be effected and decided the juice wasn't worth the squeeze, for me. However, it would be nice if there was a little more space.

Hope you share your build process. I enjoy seeing how folks do their rigs, so I can get ideas.

Problem with extending it more is a cable issue. Brake and throttle cables would have to be accounted for. Ezgo probably sells those for the 8 passenger but it would be another expense.

This is already a big heavy cart. I would not want my 952 any bigger or heavier.
I would put it together and see if you can't live with it the way that it was made.

Yeah you're probably right. It's just I'm spoiled by the full front seat compared to the shallower seat in this yacht.
I've also got to come up with a cool color for it, so we stop calling it the burrito.

I'm wrapping it's little brother right now an 04 DS gas. It will be our lake gasser. The burrito is our people and kayak hauler, so I want it to look cool and go with pictured wheels I bought.

Motor has arrived! Sure is easy to install without the body in the way!

Finally back at this cart. Progress hit the brakes over the summer! Honestly a bit overwhelmed with this thing!
I need help.
I got looking at the front end. I have a bend and need suggestions as to how to address it, figure out the extent of damage. I searched and saw cutting the frame, taking to get straightened?

I just want to get this thing right. What initially was a battery swap has snowballed into this mess, and I need to get this thing back together before I forget how I took it apart!

front axle has a slight curve to it, right? See pic

Seems square along inside cart. Tapered frame from front to back

So bend seems isolated to front driver corner. It's about 1/2" out which looked worse with front body on....
