Default 85 club car rear axle leaking

I have just built a club car DS literally from the frame up. the rear axle I had came off of a 1985 DS. I put a 400 amp Curtis controller mcor 4 conversion and a D&D 11.5 HP motor. while driving it I noticed oil streaming behind the cart. when I inspected the axle I noticed a bolt on top of the axle under the motor and that's where I suspect the oil is coming from. can anyone tell me about that bolt. I took it out and saw that it appears to be some sort of pressure release because it has a hole in the center then a small hole at the top.

thanks

Can you post a pick? Sounds like the vent for the axle from what you described. If it is pushing oil out through that, you should inspect your oil level. I will bet it is over full. Find the fill plug and remove it. Let any excess drain off through the fill plug. If what ever comes out looks dirty, would be a good time to change it.
