Got a re occurring backfire on G9
My recently acquired G9 is back firing rather frequently. Any trouble shooting suggestions are appreciated.

Re: Got a re occurring backfire on G9
Most commonly it's caused by the throttle plate not closing all the way when you let off the gas pedal. It could just be adjusted incorrectly, or the cable going from the governor to the carb could be sticky. Make sure that cable moves VERY freely. Any sticking at all will cause the throttle to hang a little open and make it backfire.
