Cart won’t turn sharp to the left
I just got a 99 cc villager it will turn great to the right but barely turns to the left.im guessing it’s something in the steering box. Is there someway things got off centered in there? Cart is stock doesn’t appear to have been messed with. Thanks for any help!

Re: Cart won’t turn sharp to the left
It's not uncommon to get one where all the travel in the steering rack is to one side. Get under the front end and look at the tie rod and adjuster sleeve off the end of the steering rack. If it's run out to near the end of the threads, you'll have GREAT turning radius to the right & very little to the left. In essence all of your steering rack movement goes to the right. If the steering wheel or coupler are off for any reason the steering wheel can get off center and some people will try to adjust that out at the tie rods. Also possible that the support the steering rack mounts to has gotten bent. Happens when it takes a good hit to a front tire: tree, fence post, BIG rock kind of thing. Since the rack support sits at a bit of an angle on purpose it can be hard to judge unless you are looking at it side by side with a "good" one. Take a look at the tie rods first and let us know.

Re: Cart won’t turn sharp to the left
Someone hit something and bent the hell out of the tie rod end on the rack, or the mounting bracket that the rack bolts to is bent.
Could just be that the rack was removed or replaced at some point and was not properly centered before installation, but usually it's because something is bent. |

Re: Cart won’t turn sharp to the left
Had the same issue with a 96 DS. Ended up replacing the rack and the shock tower/rack mounting plate as they were both bent/damaged.
