I have been working with a fleet of 12-volters in 2008 carts. Last year, the second full season, we began having serious battery problems . . . carts dying on the course during the first 18. It has gotten progressively worse, so that now there are service out of service carts.

I golfed yesterday in a cart I know was rebuilt last year because it was wrecked, so it was out of service for quite awhile. I played by myself, passed bigger groups, so played 13 holes in a couple of hours, but traveled the entire course.

The cart just barely limped up 18, an uphill hole.

That is typical.

PM me for what I've heard is going on.

So what is the conclusion on the 12 volt batteries as far as run time?

There were many conclusions shown on page 1, and page 2 of this thread.

Ok so can you guys post some final numbers here, it's hard to follow which carts and pack variation you are posting the results of. I'm only conceded with what the results of the 4-12v battery packs were and the 6-8v pack results. It would also help a ton to know the age of those packs and the 20 hour amp rating. Thank you

Unless your 12 volt packs are brand new, you’re not gonna get 36 holes out of them. At two to three years your gonna be lucky to get 18 to 24 holes. After 3 years you won’t get 18 holes.

The people on this thread earlier than you posted their comments at least 5 years ago. It's possible that they are no longer on the forum. There are newer threads on this topic or start another to get the latest information. Cheers.
