The auxiliary power starts at the solenoid's battery side large terminal (small red wire) and splits inside the wiring harness with the two branches going to the beeper and to J1 Pin-5. The split is something called a sonic weld and the direct wire goes to the beeper, with the joined wire going to the controller. This is a high failure connection. Connect your DVM negative test lead to the controller's B- terminals and probe the backside of J1 Pin-5 with the positive test lead. The voltage ought to be the same as it is between the controller's B- and B+ terminals. If it isn't find and fix the sonic weld. |
