Default Rusty Motor Nuts

So I am in the process of changing to the #2 battery wires and I get to motor and find some pretty bad nuts. I have them sprayed down well soaking with penetrant now. I'm thinking I'm will try to hit the threads with a thread file the best I can maybe heat them up and try to attack them this evening. Any words of advice or warnings? Maybe heat them too?

Use two wrenches to loosen them and be sure to disconnect the batteries.

Definitely clean up the exposed threads, maybe use a wire wheel and soak them a couple of days.
Find a good, thin wrench to hold the lower nuts, or grind down a wrench.
If the lower nut turns it might do some internal damage.

Avoid using too much heat. If you melt the insulators you might short the studs to the motor case.
Spray with penetrating oil, repeat for several days before you try to crack those loose.

Their pretty rusty. I would take a dremel tool and a cut of wheel and cut the nuts off. The chances of spinning the stud are great being as rusty as they are.

I don't know if you can do this without messing up the threads he is trying to save.
