Default New cart

Good day all, I just bought a 2003 club car DS 48v. It's completely stock other than a rear seat.
Looking to lift it and put bigger tires on. What's your thoughts on 25” or 26" tires? Will they be too big and put too much strain on the motor, etc? I'm new to this so any input is appreciated. Thanks

With any lift and bigger tires you’ll need at least a larger controller and cables.

Thanks, that was some good info. After reading that I checked the cart and I have a "series" setup. So I guess I should be upgrading some wires and controller before putting new tires on

Yep, and I personally wouldn't go any bigger than a 22" tire. Larger than that and you will lose torque, even with an upgraded controller.

Or 18.5" tires with 10.3:1 gears.
