If you put a meter, DC Voltage, on the two small terminals and press the gas pedal (make sure cart is in neutral) you should get your battery voltage across those two small terminals (12.4V or so), that is your pick up voltage and will let the solenoid send 12 V to the starter/generator. If you are not getting 12V to the small terminals your Accelerator Pedal Switch is probably the culprit. You may be throwing away good solenoids!

The Accelerator Pedal Switch is EZGO 612889 or Stens 430-003.

If you have 0 volts with the key on accelerator pressed, theres something going on causing a short maybe. Check the wiring at the solenoid. Make sure you dont have a hot wire on the small ground side of the solenoid and vice versa. Check the ground cable that runs from the battery to the frame and to the starter generator. Listen also for the click of the pedal micro switch for the go pedal. If youre burning thru solenoid id assume you either have a short somewhere or a wire in the wrong spot. If youre getting 0 volts at the solenoid then the micro switch isnt sending power to the solenoid. Since you said the cart would just tick but not run I can assume that you possibly welded the solenoid by jumping it. The pedal needs to activate the solenoid to get fire to the plug. Check the wiring and confirm voltage to the key switch and from the key switch. (Key on, both igniton wires should have 12 volts or the same as your battery. If your key switch is good, next to check is the pedal micro switch. Having continuity across the small posts is normal. Across the big posts is a welded solenoid.

Im leaning more towards a bad micro switch more than anything.

I would bet it is that accelerator pedal switch, mine went out some time back. Report back when you get it fixed.
