I was pretty sure it was inside the motor from what you said, but wanted to get everybody on same page. They covered the options pretty well.

Yes. The higher amp flow through the field windings, the further the sepex motor's speed/torque curve leans towards torque.

Looks like I have to wait till at least Monday to get the broken wire inside the casing welded. It appears all the small engine places and such closed early on friday and wont open till Monday. Ruled out solder. Got me thinking tho, would it be a bad idea to put a ring terminal on the wire and run the stud (bolt) through it on the inside of the motor case? There's a thick block spacer of plastic that would keep the wire away from the casing if that matters. Just so happen to have one for that size bolt and that size wire. What ya think? Bad idea?
