Guys,

I have a 1994 EZGO that is running the beloved EH29C engine. I have 150 psi on one cylinder and 60 on the other. This is a sentimental cart to me. My dad bought in new and this the second engine I have installed in it. I bought the second engine from a "rebuilder" in Alabama and that was a very bad experience. Is there anyone that you folks can suggest for a legit rebuild for this engine?

Before jumping to the conclusion you meed another engine, I’d start by adjusting the valves.

CP241,

You and YouTube are most appreciated today. The passenger side cylinder was 60 p.s.i. before adjusting... 150 afterwards. Apparently these engines are known for needing valve attention.

Thank you.

Tom

Pay close attention to the number of threads on top of the adjuster lock nut. If the intake valves show a lot more threads than the exhaust valves, they’ll you’re gonna need to replace the intake valves.

If they’re all pretty close to the same amount of threads showing, you should be fine

Excellent advice sir. Thanks again.

Is the EH35C adjusted in the same manner?

Yes the 350 is the same engine just a little bigger.

If you’re not sure about the threads just post a picture. Fartmaster and trig love pictures of ezgo insides

Edit: yes I see I misspelled his name after rereading it. And I’m not gonna change it
