Re: controller
On my 88 Marathon I fabricated my own 3 inch block lift. Would the TXT be similar? Would like to go with 20 inch tires.

Re: controller
That model, in good condition, is a good cart. They are easy to work on, quiet, and reliable. The down side is, they rot out. I will be surprised if the battery trays are not shot from corrosion. That was the biggest fail on that model. If the frame is solid, it is not difficult to rebuild. You will know pretty quickly. If the batteries are crooked or don't line up, or if you blocks of wood to shim them up, then it will need to be replaced or repaired.
Just an opinion, but $1400 for that cart and it needs batteries, it would have to be very nice. You can install blocks and extended shackles on that cart. I believe it will climb your hill, but you will lose a lot of torque with a 20 inch tire. Post a picture if you have one. |

The seller claims the battery trays and frame are good.

Re: controller
1995 TXT Medalist. Last year heavy metal body. But still a TXT in all other ways. For a total refurb it can be converted to a TXT48 drive system and aftermarket motor.

Re: controller
It has been a little whacked around some, but out of all the carts that we have discussed, that would be my choice.
A million options for the Medalist/ TXT. Look for a date on the batteries. Sad, but folks very seldom tell the truth about battery age. Does it include the rear seat leaned against the wall? |

Re: controller
That is the plan. Maybe look into a 48v conversion since I will need batteries anyway.

Re: controller
In western NY electric carts with old batteries typically sell for a lot less. I bought mine for $750 a few months ago.. I know pricing varys a bit depending on area but..
