Tap Size for Lug Nuts/Studs
Being in a rush (and a neighbor talking to me ) I accidently stripped one of the lug nut studs. My tap set does not have the correct size, does anyone know the correct size? 2001 EZGO.

Re: Tap Size for Lug Nuts/Studs
If you’re talking about the stud in the drum, you can drive it out and get a replacement stud at an auto parts store. If you’re re-threading the stud then you’ll need a die.

Agree with Capt.Lenny.
Just get new wheel stud at auto zone, advance auto, ect. Drive old stud out. I use several washers between new stud and lug nut, then tighten nut to seat new stud in hub. Remove washers and mount wheel as normal. Trying to repair damaged stud not worth effort imo.😊 |
