Default EZGO TXT 48 volt 2014 battery draining issue

2014 EZGO TXT with one year old lithium batteries. No lights, radio or any other accessories hooked up. I came home to my batteries at 0 volts and disconnected the main battery leads. The batteries came back up to 46 v and I was able to hook up just the charger port and get them back up to 100 percent. I hooked the batteries back up and it seems the issue went away. I did get a decent spark when I hooked the final battery lead up ,shouldn't that be an open circuit with the key switch off ?.the batteries were at 100 percent /54.5 volts , I took a short drive and they're down to 87 percent, definitely some sort of issue draining the batteries. When I put an ohm meter on the battery leads with them disconnected I do not see any resistance. Any idea what could be dragging down my batteries and how do I test for this issue.

Do you have a voltage reducer on the cart?
