TORQUE! - Gas vs. Electric
I am looking to buy a Workhorse or a Carryall. I now have a lifted 2004 series electric TXT with 20" tires, upgraded 4 ga. cables, HD solenoid and FNR switch and 500 amp Alltrax controller.
This electric seems like it will climb a tree. Do the gas carts have this much torque with a lift and tires? If not what upgrades would need to be done to duplicate the torque of my sparky, or is it possible? Thanks |

Re: TORQUE! - Gas vs. Electric
I have a '96 txt that i had a 350cc put in it last year. I have 22" super swampers rear seat and all. I have taken it places that i have seen 250 atv's struggle with. I did ship my rear clutch to cpp yesterday to get it machined. But, i have been on a few sparkys with up graded controller, motor, batteries, and wire. If your willing to spend the money on a big block kit from cpp. I think you can get more from the electric carts in the line of torque. But, i love just pouring gas in it and keep going.
I am building a workhorse for my brother that im going to put the 18hp kit in from cpp. |
