Default 12 v timer for electronics

have any of you added a 12 v timer to kill all lights, stereos, amps, i was thinking i will be using mine to listen to music while hanging with the neighbors and stuff but i dont want to forget it overnight playing in the yard.thought a 1 hour would be a great failsafe? thoughts? any downside?

Sound like a few (cocktails) may be involved. Those neighbors always get you in trouble.

I have used this timer on 2 different carts for exactly the same reason you talked about.

Same concern, didnt want people taking it to the beach and leaving the radio playing all day long and running down the starting battery. These were on gas carts. Put them in a small gray box from Home Depot or Lowes from the electrical department.

im gonna give the 110v version a shot. 18 bucks at home depot for a 1 hour. its just a simple switch with a timer i dont see any reason it wont work. better than a dead battery.
