Lost bolt out of driven clutch
just discovered that i lost the bolt and spacer that holds the driven clutch to the rearend input shaft on my 2001 gas e-z-go workhorse. Does any have a part number for the bolt and washer/spacer. How deep are the threads in the shaft. I'm concered that the bolt may have broken off in the shaft. Any help appreciated.

Re: Lost bolt out of driven clutch
I ordered the bolt and washer. Hoping I don't have to drill and extract the old bolt.
Thank you for the part numbers and the supplier. |

Re: Lost bolt out of driven clutch
Driven clutch bolt was broken off in shaft. It appeared that some one had already tried to drill it out. Unfortuanatly the hole was off center. After taking a closer look, i think they also may have welded a nut to the end of the shaft. What should I do now. Try welding a nut to the shaft or replace the shaft. Any help appreciated.

Re: Lost bolt out of driven clutch
Well your in a real pickle.Of course the proper way to fix it would be to replace the shaft but if you take a bolt and weld it to the end of the shaft after cleaning up the end of the shaft it probably work to get by, You will need maybe a couple of oversize washers to go over the head of the bolt then maybe two that fits the bolt for tightening with lock washer and maybe blue lock tight. At this point you really don't have any thing to lose and the driven is a splined shaft so it wouldn't take a ton of torque to secure it. Let us know your out come.
