G9 fuel filter
Hey guys first time poster here. I am trying to fix up a 92 G9. I have read on here about taking out the factory fuel filter and replacing with a inline filter. I am not very knowledgeable on mechanical things so hang with me. I have taken off the gas tank and cleaned it because it was nasty and now i am needing to replace the filter. I read where you tear out the old filter and screw the cap back on.. Now i am wondering where to put the inline filter. Do you put it on the line that comes out of the cap from the old filter? Also i am cleaning the carb. How many jets total are there to clean?
Thanks |

Re: G9 fuel filter
Put the filter between the fuel pump and the carb. As for the jets, there is only only one but you need to make sure the main nozzle and the "screw" orifices are clean too. If it's really gummed and/ or corroded, which is likely, get a rebuild kit.

Re: G9 fuel filter
So the old filter which was at the bottom of the gas tank, just rip out the filter and replace the screw in cap and run that line to the same spot it was?
