Looks like the paint didn't stick to the body. might have a lot of fun stripping it down to repaint! So that might bring it down to the 2000. dollar range. Buying a stock one, is a good learning curve, as well as fun!

You are so right on stock, I've learned a lot in the short time I've had mine but it's been a blast so far and I'm just itching to get to doing some fun stuff with it as the funds become available.

I have a 1985 Yamaha g1 gas golf cart not running. Great for parts. All I know is it did need a flywheel and stator. But now my dogs have torn the back seat off and part of the front seat. So good for parts. First $150 gets it.

I did find this ad. Definatly sounds like a project. If the motor is shot are the available? How much is a rebuilt motor?

The G1 is a 2 stroke so no reverse on the transaxle, the motor spins backwards to give it reverse. I don't know what an engine for it would cost but I'm guessing $800+ unless you can rebuild whats in there now. I personally like the G9 better just because of the looks and if my engine ever goes I'll probably drop a clone Predator engine from Harbor Freight in it. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for info on G1. Here are the pics if someone else wants it for $150.
It's in Houston Tomball area.
