The wiring diagrams for the resistor carts in my books are not as detailed as I would like. From what I gather the blue wire from the key goes to Microswitch 2 but I can't tell where the other wire goes. I'm sorry I can't help more.

I had to re read this thread from the beginning so I could tidy up what has been said and done.

You now have the stereo and lights working? Hopefully they are switched.

As far as the converter, it really depends on what type of converter you have. Some have a remote switch and some don't, where as they are either on or off directly threw the feed wires.

Your Key switch seems to be your biggest obsticle right now and that is going to take someone with more basic knowledge of a resister cart. If I can offer my 2 cents on your keying ability? Don't put another circuit onto or threw your key switch unless you have a multiple post key switch. It would be best to toggle everything somewhere else. most key switches are 2 position switches, they are on or off. Some carts have 3 position switches, they have an added contact for lights or accessories. Do you know if yours is a 2 position or 3 position switch?

I like the previous suggestion of putting the switch and fuse on the + side of things. Some of my high current circuits I put a fuse on the + and the - side but that is just me being a worry wort.

Hope this helps, I know you still need someone to chime in on your switch wire connections.

This diagram is hard to read when blown up but it looks like the key switch goes to both MS1/2 and to either A or C on the F-N-R switch. And that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense to me but it's what I see off the diagram.
