Default Re: Another EzGo ST480 front lift question. Need help asap

Ride is stiff right now because my stock suspension(leaf springs) are maxed out. I am going to put the leafs back over the axle and air it up and that should give the leafs some relief. I can only hope the ride will be better. There is a Noticable arch in them as they sit now.

However..... This is the ST480 model so it does have the HD Suspension. This cart definitely does not ride as nice as other gassers or electric carts.

I am going to start a build thread soon showing the mods i have done to the cart since i got it. So far i have done rims, tires, cleaned carb, painted outside of bed, rhino lined inside of bed and about to paint the outside. I also have a 3000lb winch to mount on the front.
Once i paint it, i will throw up some pics in a new thread

Did you ever get your tie rods from rubbing? Dealing with the same issue here... Tried to make a bracket that I attached to where the tie rods used to be mounted to. Moved them up. Steerring is squirly... Don't like it at all.

I think you would be better off to pull the blocks off the axle and make new ones for the rear of the front springs, between the springs and body (and drill a hole in the ends of them to except the rear bolts that go through the springs) That way you are moving the body, steering rack and tie rods up away from the springs. Instead of moving the axle, spindle arms and tie rods down closer to the springs.
