92 Club Car gas won't run
92 Club Car GAS.
Ran perfect one day. Next day would not start and run. Has new coil. Has spark at the plug. All electrical connections appear tight. None appear corroded. With Starting Fluid applied, will fire up and run very briefly. Otherwise, will turn over fine but not start and run. Getting lots of gas in line. Igniter? Coil? RPM Limiter? Other? What to check first? Thanks. |

Re: 92 Club Car gas won't run
Welcome to BGW!!
If it will fire up on starting fluid, I would say it's not getting gas into the cylinder. Pull fuel line off the carb from the pump crank it over to check pump flow. If the pump is OK, pull and clean the carb. |

Thanks for your reply.
Would like to think the carb is the problem vs high priced electronics. Guess that's the next step though. Thanks. Norm |

Re: 92 Club Car gas won't run
I had the same problem on my 93 CC DS gas. I took the carb off and cleaned it. Still didn't work. My buddy who is a mechanic took it off and cleaned it real good and it ran fine. I used a whole can on that carb but apparently didn't clean it good enough.

Thanks for the info.
Did you or your mech install a new carb kit or just clean up the original? |
