Default What the best rear end for bb kit Marathon?

Have a 1990 2 stroke Marathon that I want to go big block with. The wife's Club Car can kick my a*s off road (up hills, climbs). It can wheel pretty good on rough stuff.
With the 2 stroke I need to replace the rearend for reverse when a 4 stroke is put in.

The cart is lifted and on 23s. Flat road it is fast, but lacks torque obviously.

I figure lots of folks have swapped in another rear end and would have some good advice on which one to look for. Not going to go overboard with engine hp so a stock rearend should do it. Thanks folks!

A rear diff from an EZGo 4 stroke should do the trick, ie; 92 Marathon, 93 & up Medalist or 94 & up Txt.

When I had my Marathon, one of the issues I had was finding a rear diff.... they just aren't sold very often by themselves. Easier to find a whole other cart & hope the rear diff is in good shape. I don't think my original one ever had any oil in it..... which didn't really matter doing 8 mph. But a year or so of speeds in the 20s caused it some problems.

They made the 4-stroke Marathon from 90'-94',Medalist started 94.5. The Marathon rear is a bolt-in on 2-stroke Marathons.Hope this helps.

nice lookin marathon..it should smoke that cc imo
im doing the same thing to mine..you can also have a long travel front jakes if you want..they dont list it but i just put the 2001 and up long travel on my marathon and it speaks for itself basically bolted right up and used a 2 inch spacers up top to mount it..now im stretched 2 or 3 inches in the front and rides sweet..
doing the new 4 stroke rear end and 4 stroke build now.in the threads below if intrested
welcome to bgw also..

Putting this in my build. 13.25:1 forward gears sound a bit torquey but I think it should work. Plus has on demand lever operated locking differential.

I'll be pulling stumps out of the ground in no time! :D:D
