Default Re: Ezgo DCS goes forward in reverse

hey guys,
found the problem...so simple..where the wire from forward micro switch joins reverse micro switch, even though it was in heat shrink some battery acid had gotten into the connection and sometimes it worked, more often not. It would go forward no matter which direction you selected. This cart is used as a service cart at a local campground that I have just started doing some repair for. Another lesson learned. Education cost anyway you get it.
thanks for all the concern.

That's a new one on me. So the F&R ms signal wires were intermittently crossed ..... Thanks for sharing.

It is a single wire.

This is a DCS controller, so there is only the one wire that tells the controller which direction to move the cart.
If Pin-4 is Lo (No voltage), it goes forward.
If Pin-4 is Hi (Voltage), it goes backwards.

Glad you foiund it!

A DCS controller's default direction is forward, so you have to tell the controller to go backwards.

The next generation Sepex controller (PDS), defaults to Neutral and has to be told to go either forward or reverse, using two wires to do so.
