heatsink on controller
I have had the controller shut down on me twice now. thermal shut down, both times the motor was NOT hot at all, the motor was actually cool. but the controller was hot. I'm going to mount a fined heatsink on the back of the controller. But my question is how do I mount it to the back of the controller? I have read about Thermal adhesive tape. has any one used this tape?

I'm surprised it is overheating, that doesn't seem normal, I'd call PQ and see what they think. This is all new correct, has anyone else had overheating issues are you pushing it hard when this happens?

oh on the tape, you will need something rugged enough to stay, can you mount it to the enclosure with small screws?

Just me and the old lady driving down the road at low speeds, all flat ground. I'm getting pissed to say the least, i want it fixed before i damage the controller over a period of time. I have every thing upgraded.

It seems to only over heat at low speeds, could a bad Mcore cause this? if i just jump on it and ride fast every thing is fine.

Could be a resistance thing, too little and the current goes way up. If you can borrow or have a clamp on ammeter check out the draw at low speeds vrs cursing faster.
