Installed the AMD 7126
I installed the 7126 motor tonight, and it doesn't disappoint. With an Alltrax 4844 and 400 amp solenoid the cart will flat out haul. I was surprised to find when removing the old motor that it wasn't the factory unit. It's a 73124G03, which is listed as 1989 and up 2.75 18MPH Hi-Speed motor. Well, there was nothing high speed about it, I found it quite slow even with a fresh battery pack. I only knew it wasn't the factory motor because it's date stamped 2002.

And wait until you feed it 48 volts. My 1998 also had a newer motor as well. Didn't say Hi Speed, but I'm pretty sure it was.

Re: Installed the AMD 7126
That's what I'm talking about.....when I take that leap, I am sure I will have to lower my cart.....being lifted and 23" off-road tires will make it a bit unstable at over 30+ mph......especially with my teenage grandsons around!! LOL

Re: Installed the AMD 7126
I mentioned in another post that you can install a toggle switch to put buggy in 1/2 speed mode. You'd have to address the backup beeper, and there are several ways to do that.

Re: Installed the AMD 7126
You'd have to wire it so the backup MS controls the backup beeper, and the key switch alternates between it controlling the 1/2 speed to always be on, or controlled by the MS.

Re: Installed the AMD 7126
well in my case....I don't have a backup beeper....with my shifter, there is no way you wouldn't know whether you were in F or R.
