Default Whats the difference 98-up carb?

I see carbs listed for 97 & older FE290 engines and then 98-up engines but they look identical - What's the difference? Are the aftermarket carbs any good?

The Aftermarket carbs are GARBAGE. Ive never had any issues putting the OEM carb on any year cart.

Are the khieien carbs any good? A guy at work says they are a good brand but I am not sure. The one I have that needs replacing is that brand?

Keihin is the OEM carb.

What is wrong with yours that it needs to be replaced?

I can not get fuel past the seat. The float drops down but I can not get fuel into it unless I manually pull down on the needle.

Id just buy a new needle before you spend the money on a whole carb. The rubber tips get worn down and get stuck after a while. Save some cash and just buy the needle.

You can also replace the seat for that needle. They get worn as well

I used a Keihin carb off eBay - Picked the closed vendor to me and had it the next day. It was like $22.50 shipped. I was very skeptical but it works great.
