Default 99 Carryall oil light

Got a 99 Carryall turf 2 today and it ran great during the test drive. Then I get home and wife takes it through the neighborhood and oil light comes on. Oil level is perfect on the dipstick and after about an hour of cool down the oil light shut off when the key was turned. Any ideas on what this might be? I don't wanna blow it up. Not yet.

It's not unheard of for the sensor to just go bad - particularly on a 17 year old cart. It is an oil level sensor not pressure like most of us would expect from a car. Is it lifted to where the crank might be doing some extra splashing through the oil - causing an air pocket?

No, not lifted. Maybe I can mess with the sensor and see what happens. What viscosity do you guys run in yours? I'm thinking of going synthetic.
