Any particular oil you would recommend? That is what the guy told me. He got it and never did anything to the engine. SCARY!! We had a town wide garage sale nearby and I told my wife, "lets load up the cart and travel around that way". We both thought about it and decided not to cause we figured we would get in trouble. :-(

Well...you do live in NY, which I saw was recently identified by some unspecified survey as the "least free" of all the 50 US States...so you may get in trouble. Who knows?
There was nothing on the law books in my area that expressly prohibited running a golf cart on the road, so I found the Facebook page of the local police, messaged them, and they agreed with me that the law doesn't cover golf carts and they recommended just staying on neighborhood roads and nobody would give me any trouble...and so far they haven't. Molded into the large black air box under the driver's seat there is some information on what motor oils you can use. I use 10W40 in mine. I check it every other week or so and change it once a year. |
