carryall voltage regulator
I have an 86 carryall that had flathead in it now has newer ohv fe 290. I looked at other cart like it and it has no voltage regulator in box under seat like mine. with the newer engine doi need that regulator or can igetby without it? doesn't the starter generator have volt reg inside of it?

No,the starter generator does not have a voltage regulator inside of it. Look in the files section for wiring info

The "new" voltage regulator is solid state and looks very different than the old "electro-mechanical", but the old one would still work if wired correctly.

since I've went from flathead to an ohv engine should everything stay same as far as wiring goes?
