96 club car smoking issue
Hello all, I'm new to the cart community. I picked up my 1st cart, a stock 96 club car DS yesterday at an auction. Story is that is was known to smoke a little and had valve guides replaced and new belts and starter replaced in 2016. Cart does smoke quite a bit and shows a compression of 150 consistently. Seems to run ok, (drove home from auction!) just lots of blue smoke? Is it time for rings? any other thing I should look for? thanks for the help.

Re: 96 club car smoking issue
Welcome to BGW!
The first thing I would check is the oil level... Kawi FE engines tend to smoke if overfilled! |

Re: 96 club car smoking issue
Mine is the same way, good compression but it's probably the oil ring.

Oil level is good, looking more and more like oil ring.
