I just installed the 6" Super Sport lift with 23's on my 05 ds with fe290. I went the cart parts plus route with the clutch machining and spring with heavy duty belt, as well as the carb jet and kn filter. The cart runs great with improve speed and torque. If you have the means I would highly recommend a process.

Do you need to? No. Is it recommended? Yes. Especially if you climb a lot of hills.

Sent from Chicago on a Monday afternoon, was back for install on Friday morning. Very impressive. Cart parts plus is awesome. They talk to you like they have known you for years. Very good advice.

Same here. Just a few days and you'll have it back.

Mine was easy, remove one bolt and it slid right off. You shouldn't need a special tool for the driven clutch. If you search here you can find some horror stories though if it is rusted on. Easy enough to try.

Incidentally, if you plan on cleaning or servicing your drive clutch, you do need order the special tools to remove and disassemble. I went ahead and did that at the same time when I sent the driven clutch out. Cart parts plus sold me both tools and the clutch buttons and thrust washer.
