Default 99 Club car occasional engine dies.

I have a new to me 99 Club car. Occasionally when driving the engine will just lose all power and die...

Normally I can get it to crank after a few seconds by pumping the pedal, sometimes I have to choke it to restart and rarely I just have to let it set a few minutes before it will crank and run. Getting it to restart is sometimes accompanied by a backfire or two.

Seems to happen more often at lower speeds (but I may just be imagining this)

I have replaced the fuel pump (helped a bunch), I also replaced the dry rotted fuel lines.

So should i be looking at the carbs (Jets or maybe a sticking float needle)??? And suggestions about the backfire? Is it worth while to tear into the carbs, ive seen new carbs on Amazon for under 20bucks?

Thanks john

Default Re: 99 Club car occasional engine dies.

So I broke down and cleaned the carbs, the next morning I jumped up and tested drove it for about 30 mins..... It ran perfectly not a single problem

I parked it for about an hr came back and it went right back to stalling out occasionally again..

I thought I had it solved. It's this an indication the float is sticking?

What can I do to fix it?
