Default Volt meter problems

ScottyB,
The volt meter I got from you several months ago (think it was around the end of last year or first of this year) shown only CAL a month or so ago. After disconnecting it, it started back working for a few weeks. Now it only shows dashes ---. I have tried disconnecting again, but does not help. Any ideas?

Try verifying that the meter has pack voltage present on the positive side, and that the negative side is not showing any voltage.
A poor connection or damaged or corroded wiring somewhere could cause an issue.

Another thing you can try is remove the wires from the meter, and use a fused jumper wire to supply battery power straight to the meter, and use another section of wire connected straight to the pack negative to test the meter. If you connect it straight to the pack positive and negative and the meter still does not work, then you have a failed meter.

OK, I will try that, thanks.
