As long as You did not force or tried to enlarge the OBC opening for the new cable to go through, it should work fine, I used a stud assembly to pass my new cable through the OBC when I upgraded the cables.

Make sure the short 10ga black wire from the OBC to the Controller B- is making good connection.

What is the better route to take in your opinion? Bypass obc and get smart charger or just replace obc? I've already ordered the obc, I found it on Amazon for $199 which seemed a lot cheaper than a smart charger which is why I went that route. But on the other hand I don't want to buy a obc every couple years either. The obc in it now seems/looks like it could be the original one so I guess once every 17 years isn't bad if that's the case.

All the connections looked good on the controller. Even took them and cleaned it just for fun but same results.

I've just changed the obc out and I'm still getting same results. Still also only getting 8 volts at the receptacle.

I changed the rectifier in charger and it fixed the issue.
