2006 Club Car DS will only go in reverse
So, this cart had some issues. Someone had tried to remove the motor and spun the post on the motor. Got it replaced and now when I hooked it up it will only go in reverse. Forward and reverse = reverse.
Thoughts? |

If this is an IQ cart, the controller got damaged during the motor mishap if the battery pack was still connected when the motor stud twisted.

Either the motor is messed up or it’s the controller. Probably the controller though.
May be worth checking the FnR switch quickly, but that’s pretty unlikely. |

Changed out the controller with two others and I now get no movement at all and no solenoid click either. Am I SURE these are good controllers? No. However I have no reason to believe they are both bad. On the second one, I get back up buzzer but no other clicks or movement besides the mcor.

We have seen EZGO 1206 controller loss either forward or reverse but will still move in the other direction. Never knew that this problem can also happen on the 1510 or 1515 controller. good knowledge to share. One persons misfortune can provide others with knowledge.
