Default Advice needed on 2003 Pathway

A friend of a friend has a 2003 Pathway he wants to sell me..2900.00 firm, 2019 batteries, no issues. Body has been well kept, clean overall. I'm very familiar with Club Cars of this era, and I know the Pathway has a lot of things that make it different. Can the cart be lifted at all? Nothing radical, maybe 3-4 inches. Can different wheels/tires be used on it because of the front brakes? Is the motor or controller any different than a 48v DS of that era? Any other tips or caveats you may want to share? Thanks in advance!

Our Pathway is not a lot different than a regular DS, but there are a few of differences. All the base electrical items motor/controller/OBC is stock stuff. The front brakes look identical to the rear, but adding a lift will run into interference issues in the front, so you would probably lose the front brakes. Seems like there are 2 reasons people lift carts - looks and wheel clearance. To run larger diameter wheels for going faster lifting is necessary to gain clearance for the wheels. The Pathways come with 10.3:1 rear axle gears vs 12.0:1 for standard carts and with 18.5" diameter tires it's the same as having 22" wheels. With the stock GE motor ours would go 17-18 mph on flat, 21-22 with a Bandit and hopefully 24+ with an Alltrax, so I don't feel the need for a lift. Adding a rear seat and retaining the main roll bar is going to be interesting, I'll start that after getting the Alltrax installed because the access panel will be blocked by the seat.
