Default What year did series carts go to controllers

I am looking to buy a used cart mainly for slow off road use. They say series carts have more low end torque, but I don't want a old resistor cart so does anyone know they changed these over to electronic controllers?

Are you looking for a 36v or 48v cart?
The resistor coils are sold for 1976-1988 Club Cars, but I don't know when the electronic controllers starter, there may have been overlap.
In 1993 the DS body changed from fiberglass to plastic.
Club Car DS or Club Car Precedent (2004+) or EZGO or Yamaha or ...?
The Precedent never had resistor coils, but some consider a 16 year cart "old".
Our first cart is a 2003 48v IQ sepex and we love it.

Club Car built 36 volt solid state carts in 93 and 94. I have seen a couple 92 models with controllers. The 36 volt carts then went back to resistor coils with a v glide until the early 2000's until they stopped producing 36 volt carts around 2003.

All 48 volt Club Cars have controllers.

Of course, over the years people have done all sorts of wacky things with their carts. You may find all sorts of stuff "under the hood."

Thanks, I was guessing older series carts were all 36v, it dosen't matter to me, just need something to pull hills, not for speed.
