Default What’s the best option for getting 25+

Out of a YDRE? Just installed a 400amp Alltrax XCT and I’m only pushing 22 on the downhill. Thanks in advance

Stock motor? Stock Tires? Did you modify any settings? Proper field map? What size cables?

Well that stock motor should be replaced in my opinion. 20+ inch tires would help. I was able to get 30 on my stock tires with a xct500 and an fsip speed motor. Plenty of power too. Call Don Plowman or ScottyB. Bith are sponsors and can get you set up.

He just installed a brand new controller (probably $700), he should just toss that & install AC?

Just got an all stock 2013 ydrex4 and all I can get out of it is 14mph. Trojan batteries seem to be in good shape, don’t think they are original. What’s the best option under $1k to get it up to at least 25mph before adding lift and 23” wheels?

Take it to your Yamaha dealer and pay the around $150 for a Speed Code kit...this will get you to 19-20...then put lift and larger tires and it will put you up to 22-25.. The speed code is the cheapest and easiest upgrade for speed without breaking the bank

That's gonna be the cheapest way for sure. Your post title was "what's the BEST way..." I can't say enough about the AC system. Drives almost like a normal car. Accelerates like a banshee and goes faster than I want to go, plus better range. However it's not cheap. If ya decide you're interested in AC hit me up. I sell the system now and can save you some money.

AC system is really nice but you can also get a riot kit (alltrax and motor) and get a stock setup pretty fast. Just depends on what you want.
