Default Alltrax controller “Battery over voltage” error

Any thoughts before I purchase new controller? 2014 CC Precedent with Alltrax XTC48500-IQ controller, stock motor

It will run briefly and then quit. It will pulsate/surge and act like it wants to go but will not go. Power off and on it repeats problem. Sometimes it will go.

With the wheels off the ground it will run for about 5 seconds and then quit.

Every once in a while it runs fine.

Error code 1 green 3 red = battery over voltage.

Battery pack at test was 50.7 volts and pretty much stayed consistent while running

B+connection on controller will show up to 70 or more volts when it kicks off.

When I unhook cables from motor I do not get the error code

I have the same issue with a curtis controller, i tried another and same result, I'm starting to think its a motor issue, it's acting as if its being towed with the car in run, anyhow , ill try another motor when i get my hands on one , otherwise let us know how you make out, good luck.

What is your Over Voltage set to in the Alltrax Toolkit?
Ours is set to 62 volts.
I would call Alltrax tech support before getting a new controller.
Not sure how you can get 70+ volts out of a system that only has 50.7v.
Ours will be at 51.4v and drop to 49v or so when starting.

It has to be the regen shutting it down. Turn the regen all the way down with the toolkit. Also temp disconnect the diode across the large terminals on the solenoid.

I tried a new controller and it worked for a quick trip around the yard. Next day same thing.
I originally thought the motor as when you unhook the motor I get no error.

I will check the regen settings. Also the old controller had no diodes. THe new one came with them and I did install. It worked for a quick trip and then quit. The 6 amp diode was broke not sure how or why. I just installed a new one and now it does nothing.

Over voltage was set to 62. I agree not sure how you get 70 plus volts. I did talk to Alltrax and they assumed it was the controller. I even sent a video of the voltmeter over voltage.
