2010 CC Precedent headlights wont turn on
Recently got my first golf cart. It's a 2010 CC Precedent. After unplugging the charger, I pulled the headlight switch out to turn on the headlights and as soon as they turned on, they popped off. The tail lights work and the fuse hasn't popped. The cart is stock and have the factory light kit without the blinkers.
The cart is not close to a dealer so I'm trying to figure this out myself. What should I be looking for or what could be the issue? |

I'd check the voltage at the headlight connectors and verify that the bulbs are rated for whatever voltage is being supplied. I'd assume that there is a reducer to 12v on the cart but checking the voltage at the plugs will verify that. Once you know the voltage you can source bulbs rated to work with what the cart is providing.

The stock headlight is LED. I think I'm testing it correctly and it was over 12 volts. But since the taillights work I'm not positive I'm testing the right connectors.

Re: 2010 CC Precedent headlights wont turn on
The best connection to test is the one right at the headlights, where they are connected to the harness. Some bulbs used on carts are basically automobile bulbs and usually cannot handle much more than 12 to 16 volts. Other bulbs that are made for carts can handle much higher voltage. If you have less than 48v at the connectors then either the bulbs are wired to a voltage reducer or patched in to less than the full batter pack.

do you own a multimeter? if not harbor fright gives them away for free with a coupon, it's all i use
chase the wires back and start checking for voltage 12v led lights can typically be used on 9 to 24 volts |

I've got one. I found a wiring diagram on here today that I hope will help chase the wires.
