02 ds main dropout fault code

i had a 2008 IQ system cart and i used IQDM to check what is the problem and it shows MAIN WELDED drop out and no power at all ....anybody can help me on these problem i appreciate it.......thanks.

anyone have any update to this?? have a 08 prec that has "main welded" code and goes into limp mode we changed solenoid and still same problem exist?? kinda stumped here. thanks in advance

. . . when controller detects main solenoid contacts are welded closed, it kicks out the "main welded" code thus putting cart into "limp mode" . . . this is a normal controller reaction . . . you replaced the solenoid, but did you clear the fault in the controller which may still be causing the limp mode? . . . just a thought . . not sure if that is your issue or not . . .

yes goes into limp mode if the "main welded" code kicks on in current but clears with key off/on and not in history but current and sometimes if throttle is pushed fast no code sets and cart runs ok. seems more if throttle is slowly depressed. thanks again

Check the diode in series with the tow/run switch, it may have failed in the closed position.

What can cause the diode to fail? Diode keeps failing.

. . depends on what you were doing to your cart before the diode started failing . . .

That's how I got the cart (and probably why it was so cheap) so basically starting from scratch as far as troubleshooting goes.
