You can also get cable and lugs from these guys: https://weldingsupply.securesites.co...:4:UNDEF::::PA

I have also bought 4ga cables on ebay for about $4 each example: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53...Dp4634.c0.m322

They will make any length you want, this is the cable I buy: "THESE CABLES ARE TERMINATED WITH 5/16 TINNED COPPER LUGS ON 4 AWG ROYAL/EXCELENE WELDING CABLE WITH A HIGH FLEXABILITY AND IS RATED FOR 600V AND IS COVERED ON THE TERMINATED ENDS WITH HIGH HEAT SHRINK TUBE. THIS WELD CABLE HAS 392 STRANDS OF COPPER AND A EPDM JACKET THAT IS RESISTANCE TO FLAME,OIL,GREASE SOLVENTS,OZONE AND ABRASION AND HAS A 600V HIGH DIELECTRIC STRENGTH INTEGRITY AND IS UL AND ROHS COMPLIANCE."
Im a cheap sob and wont pay for cables pre made, I have a few different style crimpers for welding cables . I just wasnt sure if I could find better deals than what I normally have been paying for lugs and cable

Make sure you get a neoprene or rubber, acid and fuel resistant jacket and a high strand count.... 250 strand minimum, I'm using 390 strand cable for my custom sets now. But they're not cheap

I'm thrifty as well but got 5 great 4ga cables about 14" long with ends and shrink wrap for $22 delivered, you can hardly buy the material that cheap.
Here's where mine came from: http://cgi.ebay.com/4ga-HD-CLUB-CAR-...item27b505d0bd

My cart is wired with 2/0 double insulated cables from the batteries all the way to the motor. I know it is overkill, but I like the beefy look it gives. These cables have 1273 strands.
If it wasn't a very flexible cable, I don't think I would have ever got it into the controller.

I didnt read the details on it, I just noticed it wasnt the translucent crap that most stero shops use, I will look around my shop I may have two 20 foot rools of 2 gauge but would rather save it for jobs
