Default Battery Powered Headlights

I am looking for battery powered headlights for an ez-go golfcart. My dad does not want them to be hooked up to the batteries that power the cart (we have an electric cart). They can be lights for some other type of outdoor use, just as long as we can figure out a way to make them stay on the cart. He isn't picky about the looks, just the operation... Any suggestions?

That is similiar to what we do now... I wear a headlamp that we use for our lights... but that doesn't work when I look away (or forget the headlamp). We would like to have something that mounts on to the cart. Good idea though! ;)

It could get expensive looking at something magnetic/bright/"household" battery powered... What about getting a deep cycle auxiliary battery to run head lights off of?

What is the reasoning behind not having lights using the cart's batteries?
There are LED lights available that draw virtually no power.

There is another way.

Get a lot of people sitting on your cart, then get them all to put their hands in the air because many hands make light work

sorry I couldn't resist

Thanks Davebox! I'll check into that.

& Doug- I don't know of an exact reason... he just thinks they will drain his batteries faster. Which LED lights are you referring to? If they truly don't use a lot of power he might use them!

Her's some LED lights that would probably work: http://www.ledlight.com/16_led_drivi...2_volt_dc.aspx

I ordered these. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-PREMIUM-HEAD...item19c1706864
To me it gives the cart a custom look and with the instructions you don't have to "figure out" how to install and hook them up. Just add another battery "somewhere" to run the lights. I have a gas EZGO so I use the only battery I have. I can't see how the lights would draw down your batteries that much but that is your call.
