Re: Loctite for exhaust on ST Sport
Double nuts usually work for us if the stud is long enough

Re: Loctite for exhaust on ST Sport
I have seen several do this.
The last one i installed studs and double nutted it. Hasn't came back with a loose muffler yet. It had a broken bottom mount, welded a bracket to it and rebolted to the aluminum mount. I used 2 lock nuts when I bolt it. All the ones I have seen do this had its motor replaced. I dont know if the balance shaft was not timed properly and is has an engine vibration or it was installed improperly, but these do seem to have a slight vibration that most carts do not have. |

Re: Loctite for exhaust on ST Sport
Used a jam nut minus the peanut butter. Seems to be working. We did a little mud riding today and it held together. Impressed with the "golf cart". I have noticed some vibration, wasn't sure if it was normal or not. Thanks for all the input guys.

Re: Loctite for exhaust on ST Sport
Sometimes the vibration can be from a questionable belt.

Re: Loctite for exhaust on ST Sport
Also, if you went mudding, you may have some mud in the inside of your rims, causing them to be unbalanced? Possibly?

Re: Loctite for exhaust on ST Sport
The belt does need to be replaced. It looks to be the original and showing signs of wear. As for the mud in the rims, the vibration was there before, even at idle. Got plenty of experience with mud in the rims. We have a 4X4 Hemi that I play around in once in a while...........it's a rooster tail slinging machine!
