Left Rear Wheel Squeeking in Reverse
I just bought a 1999 EZGO and have noticed the left rear wheel squeaking (or grinding) when in reverse and turning either left or right. It doesn't make a noise going straight back in reverse, only when turning. What could cause this? It also seems to have a very, very slight wobble occasionaly but not always. Any ideas?

clark... First thing I'd check is the axle nut torque. Sounds like the splines may have worn in the brake hub allowing the "sometimes" wobble...

After that, check inside the hub to make sure the brakes are in place. A loose piece could be rubbing on the inside of the drum.

Why are you calling me out? I'm just trying to be helpful... My suggestion is just as valid as: "Check castle nut for loose drum" or "Check bearings" All three of these suggestions involve items that turn while the cart is in motion. |

I'm just saying I thought it is unlikely .... (in my opinion= I could be wrong) Did we get the hubs off and see what it is yet?
