Default 2002 EZGO PDS slow

cart barely goes, about walking speed, can quickly hit f/r switch while pedal depressed and cart will go normal speed. Reason I found this out is trying to get back home, drove in reverse (which goes normal speed), got tired of looking backwards, put back in forward & cart went back to normal speed. Once the cart comes to a complete stop, goes back to a crawl, can hit f/r switch quickly (put in reverse, then quickly put in forward) cart is back at normal speed

Sounds like maybe a bad switch. Just my guess.

It does sound like it may be the contacts on that rocker switch. If you took it out (after removing the battery cable from the bank) you might see how to pop it apart but I do not see why it would be too expensive to replace if it tests bad. It does not handle high current like the series carts.

Could be a speed sensor problem?

Only two things left ~ The speed sensor magnet or the Controller.
Test the controller output. If that is good replace the speed sensor magnet.

Mine was fine after a full charge don't know if it was a one time problem that will haunt me in the future or if the charge was the problem
