Re: Replacement of all wires
Now is a good time to go with a solid state conversion... upgrading to modern electronics opens up a world of performance options

That's what I use, along with red shrink tubing on connector ends the kind w/ hot melt glue inside along with T&B Copper Sheild and T&B Crimp terminals. I also maked up a set of # 2 welding cables for my other car. Good Luck on yours. Joe

Re: Replacement of all wires
Yes, 4ga is good and will give you a nice boost. Be careful when replacing the cables to the resistor board as it can be brittle after all these years and the nuts rusty. I used 4ga jumper cable wire because it was more affordable and has a good installation on it. I also recommend wire wrap on the cables that go to and near the resistor coil box.

Re: Replacement of all wires
Scottyb means, changing the cart from a Resistor cart to using a Controller. Modern carts have a Controller and ITS or pot box that regulate the speed of the cart. Old school carts use a resistor coil to regulate speed. Controller systems are more efficient in that energy is not wasted. Both systems have pro's and con's.

Re: Replacement of all wires
What does something like that cost and is it a simple change over. Would I need to do anything with the motor
