Default Largest Fuse that can be used safely

I lifted my cart today. It is upgraded to 48 volts and all of the required stuff is upgraded appropriately. I have the 480 amp Logisystems controller. I blew my 175 amp fuse today attempting to go up a short but steep hill. I would like to know what the largest fuse I can safely run will be. I have 26"x12"X10" tires on it. I nosed up to the hill. My front tires began to climb and as my rear tires got to the base of the hill the fuse blew.

Thanks,
David J.

I have the same controller you have. I have a 400 amp fuse. I got mine from this site:

I have been more than happy. I'm climbing all kinds of hills.
